String Trios

This album includes music for string trio composed over a long period of time.

AS EASY AS 1, 2, 3 was composed for children, with one of my neighbor’s children in particular in mind, who loved music then – and still does today as a grown-up.

APHORISMS V. When reading several books of aphorisms by various authors, the idea struck me to write some music that is similarly organized as a series of brief thoughts. At the time, I did not expect to expand that to five – but little by little, one musical collection of aphorisms at a time, I got there.

SINFONIAS. With nothing else coming to mind, a copy of Bach’s Inventions and Sinfonias sitting out on my piano led me to try my hand at writing my own – but for strings rather than keyboard.
